This overshot coverlet has been faithfully reproduced from a 19th century example that was originally woven in Wilson County, TN by Mary Davis (1843-1912).
 
Overshot coverlets are our lightest weight coverlet, making them perfect for all seasons and climates and versatile for layering.
 
Our replica is woven on a vintage shuttle loom, on a Natural White warp for the most authenticity. We produce our coverlets using the same method as the originals. They are woven in strips and seamed together up the middle.
 
We use two strips for a Twin sized coverlet, and three for a Queen/King.
