Huck Lace Show Towel
Slightly raised diamond figure with "lace" woven across the top. A tab at top two corners for hanging on the back of the master chamber door just as it would have been done in the 1700s and 1800s. This textile was woven specifically to show off the talents of the hand weaver and was a treasured part of the household inventory. In later years, hand work began to make its mark in the form of embroidery, knotted fringe, applique or needlepoint.
